Grace Schmidt is a UW School of Nursing graduate who started UW Babysitters in 2022 after seeing how hard it can be for families to find reliable sitters — and for students to find flexible, trustworthy jobs. She recognized the huge value students bring, from childcare and tutoring to nursing support, sports coaching, and language help, and created one space where families and students can easily connect. Her goal is to build a supportive, trusted community that truly works for everyone.
